Your massage session will take place in a warm, candle lit relaxing space.
Relaxing music is played to encourage you to let go, listen and breathe.
Will you have to totally undress? No. Removal of clothing is based upon your personal preference.
Will I be present while you undress? No. I will explain how I want you positioned on the table. I will instruct you to cover your entire body with the sheet provided and I will leave the room while you undress.
Will you be covered during the session? Yes. You will be professionally draped at all times. With your consent, I will only expose the area I am working on.
Lotion or oil is used depending on the massage treatment.
Before your treatment, I will ask you fill out a medical history form and to sign a consent form. It is imperative to list all health conditions and medications. If you are under a doctor’s care, I will require a written referral before your massage session. Depending on your treatment, I may perform a gait analysis, postural assessment and/or range of motion testing before and after your session.
During your treatment, I will need to ask about my pressure (lighter/deeper).
After your session, you will be instructed to drink water to flush the body of toxins. We will also take a few minutes to discuss your treatment. Your feedback is very important and is used to customize future sessions. I may also provide you with self-care goals.
